If FileMaker exhibits strange behavior, such as missing fields or <no access> displayed, these steps may resolve the issue.


MacOS

  1. Go to Finder
  2. Hold down the option key and choose the following menu item: Go > Library
  3. Navigate to Library > Caches > FileMaker > DBCache
  4. Delete all folders inside of the DBCache folder
  5. Restart FileMaker


Windows

  1. Go to Windows Explorer
  2. In the Navigation bar, navigate to “%localappdata%\Temp”
  3. Open the FileMaker folder
  4. Delete all folders inside of the DBCache folder
  5. Restart FileMaker
